Warning, long story....but is there any b-card of Charlie Faust??
Posted By: Dave
I know it's a snowball's chance....Charlie Faust, I'd love to see it. Last name is the same as mine, related I highly doubt it, but kinda cool none the less....I'm also guessing he was on no baseball card? Here is the story for anyone interested via thedeadballera.com, also the only pic I've been able to come across |

There are no cards of Victory Faust. The best one can do is to find a photograph. |

I don't know about any cards either, but E.L. Doctorow devotes a chapter to him in his novel "Ragtime". |

The audio version of The Glory of Their Times opens with Fred Snodgrass' lengthy story about Charles "Victory" Faust. Snodgrass, Hans Lobert, Sam Crawford, Chief Meyers, Rube Marquard, Lefty O'Doul, Rube Bressler, Jimmie Austin, Goose Goslin and Smoky Joe Wood's stories are priceless. |
