Ok, football, but here it is anyway. Picked up a HUGE framed (original) cabinet of the 1887 Ottawa College FBC (Foot Ball Club) "Champions of Canada" team. The interesting thing is that earlier this year I picked up an almost identical cabinet card of the 1888 championship team, which I have since sold.

The Dickey and Rowe are high numbers. I only need two more high-number Diamond Stars (Mungo and Lombardi) to finish my 1-108 Diamond Stars set. Please send me an email if you have these for sale in VG condition.

The 4/1 is from 1931-32. It is trimmed, but was affordable and will serve its purpose well for my collection of color variations.

What is funny about the St. Louis Cards photo , I might not have noticed it but " SPECS " Toporcer stood out like a sore thumb .

Robert, I hate to tell you, but that's not the St Louis Cardinals. Not sure who it is, but the Cards never wore uniforms like that...those guys all look way too young to be the St Louis team also.

edited to add: although that sure does look like Specs Toporcer. Also the uniforms appear to me to have "L"'s on the caps...I think the uniform is LHS which is most likely L_____ High School.

Robert- Dan's right. The uniforms are all wrong and the players are teenagers. Still a nice picture, hope you didn't pay too much for it.

Numbers 29 and 30 in the rebuilt collection arrived in the mail today from Mark Irodenko. The funny thing is, of the 30 I now own, and the eight others I've either missed or haven't been able to complete a trade for, the McIntyre is the first with the rubber stamp reading bottom to top, not the usual top to bottom.

Great pick-up on the Bulkeley P/C, I love it.

Just back from SGC, this Babe Ruth P/C allows me to consign my Collins McCarthy Ruth to the Upcoming REA Auction:

This is one time I don't mind piling on.....Phil that is AWESOME! About 4-5 months ago on the memorabilia board we had a thread that was about your top 5 dream items. A 'fan taken' photo of Ruth in his BoSox uniform was on my list. I'm envious.

I am very pleased with my first horizontal T206 in a much nicer grade than I usually get for my fledgling set but after some of the amazing cards already posted I might as well show you my dirty sock collection.

Let me know if anyone wants to see the dirty socks.
