Default Oakland Team Issue

Posted By: Bruce Dorskind

In the upcoming 19th Century Only Auction there are several lots which
are identified as a 1911 Oakland Team issue

Each of the cards has a player picture, player name and the world Oakland on it .
The back side of the card is blank

The minimum bid on each lot is $500

What can anyone tell us about these cards?

Also, we note a rash of PCL rare issues on the market?

Anyone know why?

Thanks in advance

1913 Oakland Oaks Team issue - possible made by Cardinet Candy (makers of Texas Tommy) to compete with Zeenuts. The prices seem on the low side compared to the rarity. Not a lot of these out there, and some are trimmed (missing player's name).

If you're a PCL collector, I believe the word "WOW" would be appropriate
