Card Grading Companies
Posted By: Tim Dudley
While looking at baseball cards up for auction on eBay, I have seen that there are several different baseball/football/etc. card grading companies out there. I am curious to know which is the most respected as being the "real" authority on card quality which in turns relates to its value. |

Card Grading Companies

Tim, From a Pre War perspective your gonna get arguments for 2 different slabbers; PSA and SGC. I wouldn't think twice about purchasing a prewar card in either one of these 2 slabs. I probably wouldn't even consider one from another company unless I thought I could cross it over to a PSA or SGC. SGC may not get the same respect that PSA gets from modern collectors but it has a huge following in the prewar section and is on par with PSA if not slightly ahead. |
