Default PLEASE HELP ME to make sense out of the graded market today

I have been a long time collector getting cards graded by PSA. I can not for the life of me figure out what is going on. I can't get cards back, been there for over a year. BUT when I see PSA 9 and even 10's for sale on ebay for way less then the current cost to get cards graded, it doesn't make any sense to me.
I am seeing PSA cards go for less then $35, and I know you would say supply and demand, but then ............$80 to $100 to get a card graded for that?
People need a write off on their taxes????

The new lottery for cheaper prices at Psa is a joke also. Wait on line for 30 to 40 minutes to get in line until your number comes up -- of course you are 2350 in line and they say wait 45 more minutes until they get to you and then by that time --- they tell you ... to late. What is this ?????

Sorry I can't help you as I don't collect graded cards. Good Luck!

I've been saying it for years now. Raw is the new graded.

Grading hardly makes sense today for most cards other than high grade ones or for protection. Jump on board and join the movement ;-)

it is a fair assumption that the graded cards you are seeing at those prices were not graded at the current cost of card grading. and if that is not the case then it makes absolutely no sense. Don’t try to figure it out as it will just hurt your head more.

I had this very same question. But someone smarter than me said that plenty of people has the cards graded when it was cheaper and there’s competition between them that can drive the price below current grading costs. It does feel odd to buy any psa card that is less than the current cost to grade, agreed.

Money. Everything in America is money. Moolah, cash, dough, dead presidents, cheddar. People will do all sorts of things to make a buck. PSA promises freakish spontaneous wealth. Everyone thinks they own the next PSA 10 of whoever and if they could just get the damned cards into PSA they'd be rich, so the sheep line up to get shorn.
