I think that may be the first vintage photo I've ever seen where everybody is holding a bat and it looks like a ball too. Darling image, but the kids have these dour looks on their faces as if they are prisoners-of-war (child division). |

Barry, that dour look on their faces is that they knew that they would be exploited in about a hundred years, or so. The kids probably knew that they would loose their identities and that someone would start calling them Babe, Ty, Nap (or something else) in an effort to garnish a little financial gain... Doesn't the boy in the middle look like a young George Sisler... Could we possibly call this a pre ROOKIE card? |
