This set has caught my eye for quite some time. I don't currently have any T205 cards but I would love to see some of your favorite in the set.

Thanks

This one. I think it's just an awesome image. But I also like the Lush card a ton and half shop for one on ebay most of the time. I definitely like the NL cards better than the AL - the portraits are very lifelike compared to other cards of the time, as you can see below.

Oh, I do love the T205s. Here are my favorites from my collection.

If I had to pick a single favorite, it would be the Wheat.

A T205 Question?

and from a T206 guy? Satan must be skating!

some I LOVE---

The Mathewson, I think, is one of the most beautiful cards ever made.

some I HATE...

- really? slack-jawed?

- looks like an Alien head, WAY too big for his body.. but the one ear version of his card looks NOTHING like this. At least with the other variations in the set both cards LOOK like the guy.

Thanks T207.com for the images, mine are at home and not scanned - sorry they're small!

They sure are neat!

Does anyone have a National League only checklist including variations?

Thanks

It was this card, until it came back counterfeit from SGC. Has a glossy finish on the card.

Thanks, Jeff. I like the Jennings a lot, too, but mine's a disaster.

Even though I have all the hall of famers, my favorite T205 is the Eddie Grant (first major leaguer killed in the "Great War"; in the Argonne Forest); and I'm still looking for one of 'em.

Steve- I've always meant to ask you why Jacklitsch is your favorite player? Is he a distant relative?

Back in 98 when I first signed up for ebay I was looking for an id to use. As I was an avid T206 collector I tried to use an id identifiable in the set. Ty Cobb, Cy Young and many others were gone. I tried Jacklitsch. It was available. The rest is history.

So your affinity for Jacklitsch is accidental. Interesting.

About half way there on the set. These are some of my favorites, some for rarity and others for their esthetics. Today, I like the Joss image the best.
