I just picked up this letter and was wondering if anybody can provide any info.

Default 1917 letter Rochester, NY BB Club, International League

That letter came from the estate of Col. Jacob Ruppert. Chapin was a team owner and one of Ed Barrows friends and most of the letters like yours between barrow and Chapin refer to trying to start a new league around 1916-17 which died with World War 1 putting a dent into baseball revenue. I bought 5-6 letters signed by Chapin from this estate when Alan Swaim was selling them throughout late 2007 and early 2008. This one was bought from him and then resold on ebay. I would think it is worth closer to $100 than what you paid so you did well, the market is just a little flooded with these types of letters right now so I would just hang onto it for the moment.

I am not sure if this is the type of info you are looking for or not, but that is what I've got.
