I normally don't like to post active auctions, but this one intrigues me. I have not seen a huge number of Wrights, but this one looks too good to be true. Not only is the ink bright as could be, but the sig looks different from others I've seen. The funny thing is, this one has TOO MUCH flow relative to other examples. His auto isn't normally this crisp and tight. does anyone know what I mean? Looking for opinions. I won't be bidding either way.

Wow, I guess someone at eBay agreed with me.

I would have tried to grab the photo, but still don't know how to do that on an iPad.

It's not gone. For some reason the links here have gone screwy today. Paste in the item # 251140973606.

I spoke with a collector who did psa's quick opinion on this item, but they were unable to render an opinion. At least three people thought it good enough to bid on. That's a decent price for a legit Wright on a sweet item, of it is indeed legit.

The Castle Square Hotel was in Boston , here is the text from the 2/28/1896 Boston Globe. Lots of text but if you want to take the time to pour through it , might make mention of the dinner and the presence of Wright at it.

This too might be interesting ,

Wright also laid out New England's - and America's - first public golf course, Boston's Franklin Park in 1890. Wright and Ditson Sporting Goods imported and sold golf clubs; none other than Francis Ouimet worked at the store while pursuing his amateur career. Wright later donated the 156 acres (0.63 km2), the former Grew estate, for Boston's second municipal course which became the Donald Ross-designed George Wright Golf Course located in the Hyde Park section of Boston.

For whatever it's worth, this item has been slabbed by PSA/DNA and is now available for over 500 percent of its previous purchase price.

This seller has some nice stuff, but pretty high prices.
