Default Xmas Gifts

Didn't receive any really valuable items, but I did get a special gift. So my father gave me a one of a kind item for Christmas this year, that I thought some of you might enjoy. He is the one who got me into collecting in 1988 taking me to card shows, buying me autographs etc. even though he wasn't a collector himself. He was cleaning out the attic a few months back and found a box with some stuff he packed away when he moved from Indiana to New Jersey over 40 years ago.

In it was an old scrapbook and some other items. He knew I would appreciate some of the items so he framed two articles he saved and gave me a baseball. Well the articles were clippings he saved from when he pitched a perfect game for Milton High School his senior year on Sept 9, 1960. One article was written the next day, the other 6 days later on 9/15/60. He struck out 10 and also went 3 for 4 at the plate according to the box score. Also, in my gift box was the baseball from the game signed by his team and dated. This will be proudly displayed in my memorabilia room.
