Default cards of coaches

I think these all would qualify as rookies. No Auerbach card yet.

Thanks for the interest but these are just in the collection for the indefinite future.

Not sure who wears it better. Bobby Knight or Don Cherry.

Nobody could wear that red sweater better than Knight. For that matter, nobody could coach basketball better than Knight, IMO.

Knight was a feisty character, but sure could coach. He certainly was one of the best coaches ever.

A nice card, and I wasn't aware of it. But I don't see it as a rookie card, since it doesn't feature her individually.

In 1981, Valley Bank of Knoxville made a set of trading cards for the Lady Vols. They were distributed as 11x17" sheets of light card stock, and you cut the cards from the sheets.

Pat Summitt had two cards in the set. I think these would be her rookie cards.

It isn't a card but it is the original hand-retouched photography used to make the 1975 Topps cards of Phil Jackson and Pat Riley, from the Topps Vault:

I don't disagree and will put that issue on my want list. Meanwhile, added another coach.

How about a “Tommy Point”? My man Heinsohn…. Never saw him as a player.

No comment about his fashion choices, as a coach I would put him right up there with Bela Karolyi.
