Just make it a redemption for the actual item instead of destroying the item AND making an ugly headless monstrosity.

That if there was ever a time for a redemption card to be inserted into packs, this is it.

It seems that if they turned it sideways it would have fit perfectly. Unfortunately, that is common sense and those Richardheads have none.

How about a card of Joe's wife Marilyn Monroe cut off to only show her .... Er or her... or her.... I seem to forgot I was posting about. Never mind.

I always cringe when a classic piece of irreplaceable memorabilia gets purchased by Topps or the like. Ruth and Cobb bats, et cetera. You know that they'll be destroyed into tiny pieces and pasted into cards. It's a travesty, really.

Or just issue it like the Pro Line Portraits did with their auto inserts back in the day.

It's comical when you watch a break and see someone pull a cut signature of some ordinary, maybe generally good retired player. Wild hooting and hollering. Then you go to some AH a day later and see a lot of 300 signed player index cards languishing with a top bid of $140.

It's the thrill of the hunt.

Not as much fun, in a "thrill of the hunt" context.

But you're absolutely correct.

I don't mind if they get the sig off a check, document, letter, etc. But agreed this is terrible. I would much rather a redemption card inserted and you win the autographed picture.
