Default More Trivia (Easier)

Name the single-season record holders in base hits for the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.

Bonus points if you can list the # of hits, seasons and/or teams.

I'm going to guess Keeler with 239 in 1897 for the 19th Century.

For 21st century it's Ichiro I think with 262 in 2004 I believe?

I'm not sure on the 20th century though.

Ichiro in the 21st Century
Sisler in the 20th Century
I do not recall if it was Duffy or Burkett. I would lean towards Duffy for the 19th Century

Sisler was interesting his his record last like 7 or 8 decades where before him it seemed to change every few years

Regardless if it is right or wrong this seems more up my ability/knowledge and I appreciate

But I also know many forum members know alot more so do not stop the more challenging ones for everyone

Thanks

rats60 has all three correct. Ichiro's 262 in 2004 is the 21st cent and all time record. Still looking for the years and # of hits for Sisler and Burkett..

Burkett was 1896 (thought Duffy did 1896) got them confused and Sisler was 1920 hit total no idea

Correct, Jeff!

Hint - Ichiro didn't break Sisler's record by much.

I don't remember, but it was a very good year for me. I think I had three more than Duffy in 1894 though.
