Default Breakfast of Champions

Wheaties put out a lot of sports product on their...uh, product, and run from pre-to-post war. These two are the only ones I have. I kinda like them in a trippy sort of purple and orange way, even with that draftsmanlike, hatchhmark, line style. At any rate, I'd love to see others anyone else might have -- whatever year, box panels, et al.

I too enjoy these sets, and have several examples, which I would post if I could. But instead of that, you may enjoy the sets overview offered by Old Cardboard:
<a href="http://www.oldcardboard.com/f/cereals/wheaties/wheaties-gal.asp"
It is far from complete, but it does show many varieties.

The cards which I have include a Series 1 Gehrig, a recent issue 8 oz. Pete Rose, Series 9 DiMaggio and Hubbell, and a 1951 Musial - which is a bit like the cards which you posted, but a little bigger and square.

Stunning stuff!
Bob, it looks like those boxes have never been folded. Where this kind of stuff comes from is beyond me -- love it.

Paul,

They haven't. I think these are easier to find unfolded and near mint than actually used for cereal. There must have been a find of them at some point.

My '51 Musial is no longer attached to the box, but through some stroke of luck, the kid chose to not remove the ad from the bottom when he cut it. I can't say the same for my Series 1, however.

But PSA grades them as 10s with the ads removed, so I guess that my preference (and the one kid's)is incorrect.
