Default Reggie Jackson store-model glove

Came across my old glove, probably last used in the 80's. I was surprised that it was still in good condition. Could probably benefit from some leather treatment to soften.

Was just wondering if there is any collector value in the glove or is it just "let's play ball" value?

Thanks.

OK, so it looks like it's value is totally as a useful glove. It goes to the Salvation Army to find some lucky kid.

If only it was a righty mitt...

Sorry, I don't know anything about gloves, otherwise I would have replied.

Great glove though!

Thanks for responding JoeDfan. Quick anecdote - I ran across some comics I had purchased many years ago as an investment. When I re-found them, I contacted a comic book store and asked if they had any value or should I give them to a friend. Their response was "I'm sure your friend would love to have them." I jokingly asked if that was their nice way of saying they had no value? lol So, I took the lack of response to this blog as a nice way of saying "have fun with the glove."

Btw, I really thought those comics would go up in value. lol

You are very welcome. I wish I could have provided more information for you; but I mostly collect bats.

I have a couple of boxes of my old comics in a back room closet. Someday, I might check them out. I think I have a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #2 in one of the boxes. Back in the day, I think it was worth quite a bit, but I have no idea what they go for now.

Well, I hope you have better luck than I did. As a collector of sports memorabilia and part-time dealer, I learned that I should have stayed in my wheelhouse when buying collectibles. lol
