Default Real or Fake?? And the reply I got BEWARE NET 54!!!

Let me know

http://cgi.ebay.com/1911-T205-GOLD-B...item563acb1695

So I emailed the guy letting him know the card was a fake and that some others are also. Here is his response. Beware of the amazing amount of HOF'ers this guy has.

Dear pup6913,

WHY WOULD YOU RESPOND IF YOU THINKS ITS NOT FAKE, PLEASE DONT EMAIL ME ME AGAIN, IF YOU DO ILL REPORT YOU! BY THE WAY , YOU HAVE NO IDEA BUT THE CARD IS REAL! BUT ON A SERIOUS SIDE, I REALLY DONT CARE WHAT YOUR WHITE TRASH THOUGHTS ARE , DONT EMAIL ME AGAIN

- gregantonhunting

He is right. I wouldn't even have the first clue as to wether or not some of his cards are real but I can be rest assured that the one in question was no problem to verify.

In the item specifics, right under the description, he sort of in a round about way says that it is an original "Modern (1981-Now)". He's got all bases covered with this one.

Item specifics
Original/Reprint: Original
Era: Modern (1981-Now)
Team: Detroit Tigers
Card Attributes: Rookie

Definite fake. The "s" in "Tigers" should not run off into the gold border. There should be some green between it and the border.

Well, I also feel certain that his 1933 Goudey #144 Ruth and 1934 Goudey #37 Gehrig are fakes.

Babe's hat should not be touching the white border (there should be a bit of yellow above it), and on the Gehrig, there should be a bit of yellow between the border and the glove of the silhouetted player on the far left.

Thanks for the info Andrew. BTW if you email him again, I will report you

I guess that means you won't be getting a Christmas card from him.

you should email him and ask him if you should only pay for 7/8 of your bid due to the missing piece of card!

I emailed him back after that and told him that His response was all that was needed and that I would go ahead and report his cards to Ebay as well as some others places to ensure that no one gets scammed that I know anyways.

Default I just emailed him as well

I stated his cards are poorly made fakes. I am curious to see how he responds.

I hope he doesn't report me.

Great Idea. He would have to wait till Thursday when my daughter gets her Sponge Bob Monopoly game for her birthday to get paid but I am sure she would help her daddy out. After all the money dissapears by 1/2 within weeks anyways.

pup,

Instead of wasting good Monopoly money on this scam artist, why not just make copies of the Monopoly money with your computer printer and send those to him?

That way, he gets fake money made the same way his cards are and your daughter gets to keep all of her Monopoly money to play with.

Does this auction look fishy to anyone else. I am just learning about cards but it seems rather fortunate that the card is scratched exactly where reprint would be.

the corners on this card are pretty good but there are creases everywhere. Puts up a big red flag....

After looking at a lot of T206's, the fonts on bad counterfeits almost knock you square in the face.

It could be a new find previously unknown, it was issued in the 1920's and 30's !
