Well - my top 10 isn't exactly the most diverse - but enjoy! Love the thread idea Matt (BTW - one of my 9th grade students must tell me everyday that his favorite movie of all time is Paid in Full!)

great catch!! At least they were in order on the submission (only one digit different & with the same grade)...so it looks like they simply put the wrong card in each holder...now CharleyBrown will have to keep them together so in aggregate, it all works!

Default fun Thread

Here are my top 10 favorites from my collection. (In all honesty my sliding Billy Hamilton cabinet would probably take the place of Alex but it's not available right now. don't tell Alex) Top ten to me means what cards 'do I like the most' - some have big value some smaller and some bring back memories of my dad who bought me cards when I was a kid.

I think after I post I'll scroll down from the top again to see everyone's beautiful cards. Thanks for asking so I have reason to pull them together and scan them. -peter

Great cards Pete, you know I'd love any one of those CJ's you picked up as a kid...didn't know you had that 1869 P/S card, what a beauty! Too bad each of us didn't wind up with another card to put in this group, maybe next time!

This is an awesome thread! Some really beautiful and valuable cards. I know this is more on memorabilia side but wanted to share anyway (hope that's ok). Here are my 7 all related to Creighton ranging in dates from 1860 to 2013. FWIW, I do have another project that I'm working on that is card related and interestingly enough will get me to 10 items

Thanks, Derek. I wanted to try to stick with some sort of theme so I figured post-war rookie cards (I did not want to start the same thread on the post-war side so thought I would just stick them in here).

Scan quality sucks, which is both frustrating and a long story. In any event, I'm going to have to re-scan pretty much all of my cards (again) with my Cano Scan. That being said, here's mine.

Great thread & great cards everyone! Jeff, I'm glad you don't (seem to) focus on WaJo cards! Speaking of WaJo, all my WaJo cards are tops (with me, anyway!), so I'll show these 10 WaJos, each made from a different real photo (which I prefer over artist-rendition cards):

That Joe D WWG is one of my favorites-- a very slept-on toughie.

And what a fantastic card of Ruth and Gehrig leaning on their bats up above!

Really cool to see all these windows into various collections.

Mark - I have always loved your collection and the way you set up your website!! Probably the best collection website in the hobby.

You definitely have 10-20 cards on my "must-have" list....problem is, for at least 3 of them, I've never seen another example...

Uh Clint - I assume you and Hank and Val have had some conversations about all things WaJo?

Thanks guys. Val your collection is top notch. Love the Holland and Texas Tommy cards.

Pete, yep we've had a couple conversations. Val and Hank are two of the best in the hobby.

Amazing collection, Clint. Humboldt's just applied for a Smithsonian local history exhibit grant for 2015, and I told them I would help. If they get it, we'll be coming for your Walters to put on display!

Default Phil Garry Collection

Phil - that's more like it!!!

I didn't know that you ended up getting the Page Fence Giants Ad Card after all. And the c1908 Leland Giants Team PC is probably one of the best PCs in the hobby!!

Thanks, Derek! That one has quickly become a fave of mine, even though I don't usually collect postcards.

Cheers,
Blair

Thanks! I think it shouldn't be understated how rare it is to find the Mino and Kotton and Mendelsohn cards you have in such great condition. I don't know that I've ever seen such fine examples of any of these cards, let alone of one HOF player in one collection.
