Count me in as another Koufax collector. I doubt I'll ever get the Test Disc or Punch-Outs. Those are awesome. Here's mine (minus a few changes since the pic is a couple years old)...

I have a fairly substantial collection of scored programs, including 222 of the 397 regular season games that Koufax appeared in.

This is the July 24, 1955 game versus the Braves where Koufax made his 5th career appearance, all with no decision.

Hank Aaron also hit his 35th career HR during this game.

Kent, I wish you the very best in your pursuit of collecting Mr. Koufax. He means a lot to some collectors, and the prices of his items prove it. Devote some quality time researching what may be had, and decide what you really want the most before you spend your money.

I must say Fred's 1963 JELL-O box is a dream piece for a Koufax collector.......

As one who is essentially "out of the game" of vintage collecting, my advice may be irrelevant, but it is usually a good idea to select pieces that appeal strongly to you, make you smile and feel glad you bought it every time you look at it, or think of it. It is wise you wish to pursue the regional / food items, since those often have intense eye appeal, and are special in having a built-in rarity, as Robert Edward Auctions founder, Rob Lifson, once described them to me.

Do strive to have fun in your venture.

All the best, Brian Powell

Fellow Koufax collector here, wow some of these rarities are awesome. I just started picking up Koufax in November and slowly working on the basic run. Plan is to branch out to other odd ball stuff later in the year.

Nothing high end on my part, but would love to grab some low grade Venezuela cards at some point.
