Default Recent quantity of eBay sales of SGC and PSA t206s.

It's no surprise that prices of PSA and SGC graded cards on ebay are astronomical. It's virtually impossible to find anything at even a 50pct premium to already elevated prices. Now giving consideration to the fact that pwcc is no longer listing, I've been very surprised at the low quantity of actual completed sales. Yesterday I counted only 25 sold via auction and bin between both PSA and SGC and 17 the prior day.

Will prices come down given the lack of sales or will sellers continue to hold the line?

As a percentage of T206's listed I bet that 25 and 17 aren't historically that odd. The selection is unbelievably low compared to even fairly recent history. Completely anecdotal but that's what I feel like I'm seeing.

Default Data

A more useful piece of data would be how many cards - in aggregate, or of a particular player - are available for purchase today versus six months, or a year ago?

for prices to fall, sellers would have to dump their cards. I don't see it in T206. Most people in this realm are collectors.

I agree that availability of quality cards has dropped off. There is not much supply to meet the demand so prices are staying high.

I guess that T206's will always be the king of vintage card sets. I agree that PWCC's divorce from Ebay has temporarily caused a shortage of auction T206s but wonder what kind of offering they will have in their first, independent, new platform, if they can find new consignors which is their lifeblood.

My guess is PWCC will have a substantive auction on the first go. There were a lot of cards that were pulled from eBay, and I would guess the majority of consignors would leave their cards in rather than go through the work of having them sent back. Inertia is a powerful force.

I think the real test would be to see how many great consignments they get for subsequent auctions, given the recent developments.
