Any ideas on what year that card was graded? 1995-1998?

Definitely an early one, but not sure. Really bad though how much their standards have changed. Definitely went for less than a decent 8 would go for, but surprised it even went for as much as it did

Look at the left edge next to Yaz's cap, and the lower-right edge of the slab.....

That may be a case of a cracked slab and replaced lower-grade card; or a fake slab.

I'm inclined to agree and give PSA the benefit of the doubt on this one. No trained grader could be off by THAT much. Definitely some funny business with that slab. Not implying the seller is dishonest - just somewhere down the line that slab was messed with somehow. I'd bet on it.

LOL, have you ever sent cards to PSA? I personally have got back worse than this. Heck I paid them twice once and they still couldn't even get the fricken label correct and that was after explaining the problem not only on the form but over the phone.

With the number of cards PSA grades per day we could easily have a new one of these threads every single day. There is no company that gets everyone correct that does that kind of volume and with that volume there are constant mistakes.
