I'm very sorry I missed the dinner. I had a week like no other. Bizarre to say the least. When are we doing it again? And I'm dying for a steak next time -- oysters? |

51 years young, had the set over 60% done in mid-late '90's when I sold it to go after Cracker Jacks and T207's...now back up to about 260 cards.. |

We have a tenant living there until the end of October, so no, we won't be out this summer (unless she bolts on us). We're trying to decide if we want to continue renting or get it back. It's a toss up. |

You can't go to Luger's on short notice. You usually need to make a reservation at least a month in advance, unless things are a little slow there. |

If you can get a reservation there because of a platinum card I will be more than a little surprised. See if you can get a 6:45 (they seat only 45 minutes after each hour). That's of course the time everybody wants. |

You can always get a very early or very late seating- but that 6:45 slot is a toughie. The following week my auction closes, that Thursday, so please any day except the 28th. |

I would ask for a table for 6 or 8, and the first ones to respond get in. We can't keep changing the number, and the group seems to be getting a little smaller. |

OK, amex does not hold a table at Luger's (like it does every night at many many restaurants in the city)...i am getting the full list from them, of which places we will be able to get a table, without a hitch... |

dave- you took this the wrong way, i'm not pist, i could care less, really...i got excited, when i saw "Rare Factory 42, 4th Dist. NC" in the subtitle...as i need to upgrade my PSA 3 Piedmont 42...then i openind the link, and saw a Sweet Caporal...that's what was dissapointing. furthermore, when you had it listed in the B/S/T page, you merely listed it as "sweet cap fact 42"...not "rare", like you did on eBay...can you see my point? |

I think Luger's you can get into often times on the day of the dinner. Sort of like Broadway show tickets. That being said, with a group of 6-8 it may be tougher. How about Morton's or Sparks? Both are right near the 4 train -- whichever will take us can be the one we go to - and they're like the two best in Manhattan located near Grand Central for anyone coming in (we've still got to get Frank in from LI and Al from NJ). |

I have scheduling problems from now into mid/late July but if there's ever a dinner at Sparks after that I'd be interested. Sparks is my favorite steakhouse (on the East Coast but I have never been to Luger's as their lack of acceptance for my corporate Amex/no Brooklyn clients makes it tough. Metropolitan Grill in Seattle is my West Coast choice as I know you're all wondering |

Right now I have about 70 cards of the set but that is buying off birthday and report card money. I am gettnig a job this summer so I should really build it up a lot. I have a few of the mid-high BV cards in the set in nice conditions but no cobbs or big trains yet. |

I've just picked up my sixth T206 Hall of Famer, I suppose I'm becoming a collector of the Monster. I'm 52 but feel more like 25 when I'm with my cards and involved in the hobby. |
