Thank for posting Jason.

I hope many of you will keep this thread going by posting your ungraded collections and/or new pickups. I absolutely love looking at the high end graded cards that are posted, but there is definitely still a place on this board for cards that are obtained purely for the joy of collecting without a tremendous regard for condition, grade, or potential value.

I guess that is what makes this hobby great. We can collect what, and how, we want and there will usually be fellow collectors that are like-minded. Sharing and learning from others is what makes this board great to me.

Default Show your RAW cards

Purchased a couple of days ago. The MK is a very faint blue mark on the back. Will be cracking and setting this guy free as soon as I have in hand.

Great stuff Jeff. The 1971 Garvey is one of my favorite '70's cards.

I can't take the Bob Young card out of it's plastic case because, well, that's the only thing holding the top half and bottom half of the card together!

We've got a great mix of collectors here. I am good with raw since I don't fuss much about corners and have no plans to ever turn a profit. However, I will almost definitely buy graded when I finally get my Ruth. Am not too concerned with the actual grade...just looking for assurance it's not counterfeit. And then I'll crack it open to add to my Top 100.

I already posted a picture of my Red Heart set earlier in this thread but just recently redid my baseball room so I thought I'd snap a quick picture and share it here since it fits in with this theme so well.

This is certainly the board who would appreciate these cards.

I do now have maybe 100-150 graded cards across everything I own, but they were simply a deal for the price I paid, graded or not. I didn't seek them out because they were graded. Most of my cards are "raw".

Jason,

I don't do displays, but in similar fashion - most of my collection is kept in my bedroom closet - just like when I was a kid. After a long day if the world has been wearing on you, it's nice to know you can slip off into card-fantasy land, even if briefly - and forget about it all for a while. Slabs and high grades are nice if you can afford them, but like you are saying, off grades and rounded corners remind me of the "vintage" (back then we just said old) cards I had as a kid, so it's all good from my perspective. Anymore now that I only buy cards that I can afford, that comes with the peace of mind of knowing that I'll never have to sell them if I don't want to.

Thanks! I love these raw threads, great cards all around. It's fun to see what's still out there, totally invisible to any pop report.
