Default Billy Laval

...played minor league ball from 1907 thru 1919. Does anyone know if he had any cards?
Thanks,
John

I've never heard of him, but I love your avatar of the Forbes Field wall.

Wait for Rhys or Rhett to chime in, but I think he was on a T210 Series 5.

Today's Columbia paper had a big write-up on him. He was the South Carolina baseball & football coach 1928-1934. The article mentioned his extensive baseball career. That got me wondering.
Looks like I'm in the market for another T210.

There is a Loval in T209-2. Could it be him as well?

I bet the T209 Loval is Laval also. Anyone have a picture of the T209? We may need assistance from the "ear forensics team".

William L. (Billy) Laval was with Winston-Salem in 1909 and 1910 and that is indeed the team the T210-5 and the T209-2 (mispelled Loval) are pictured with so it appears to be the same guy.

Pretty cool find, I was totally unaware he had later become the South Carolina football coach.
