Help with Scorebook New york Semi Pro?
I just picked up this score book which has 24 games that appear to have occurred in the summers of 1927 and 1928. I picked it up because it has a game with the Negro league team Brooklyn Royal Giants. I am trying to see if anyone recognizes any of the other teams. Teams include Osborn (?) House, Citizens House, Alphas, Acmes, No 1 House, Ravena and Smoke Shop. The games were played on the West Side grounds and Ravena. I have attached a couple of scans and would be very interested if anyone knows anything about these teams or league. by this time the Royal Giants were playing an independent schedule and seem to have over matched the team that they were playing- if I am reading the scoring correctly its a 13-0 no hitter.
