Default t205 joss psa 5 pricing

I'm mulling over purchaing this card at a local show. Their lowest price is 1200. The csrd has nice centering with sharp corners with edge chipping. There are plenty of recent sales to indicate this is a good price, but thought I'd get the board's opinion to help with my decision. Thanks in advance, Pete

$1200 for a 5 is not bad considering 4's sell for about that at auction

Agreed. Price on Joss has seemed to settle down the last few months, but it is very much a classic card...I think you would be buying on the dip.

DO NOT BUY!!!!! Cards a 3 at best. Crease on the right boarder and to much chipping and soft corners. $600-650 at best imo

Default Nice eye!

I didn't see that crease! Took the plung already at 1150. I'm hoping someone will buy the holder when it comes time to sell. If not, it won't be the first time I overpaid for a card! Thanks, Pete

Return it based on the over grade or resend to psa and have them regrade and refund the difference. Sell it right away IMO. Even though the market has dipped the grade 5's and higher have stayed level and some have risen. Hard card in a 5.

Default Fantastic Centering!

I do think that card has fantastic centering, fwiw. I'm a big fan of well-centered cards.

Nice card. I had a PSA5 Ames that looked worse than that. Definitely would leave it slabbed with that 5 though if you plan on selling sometime.

Nice card Pete, and I've seen a lot of cards graded a 5 (by PSA and SGC) that are worse than the Joss. To say it should grade no higher than a 3 is ridiculous.
I think you got a real nice card.

And Pete there are many, many people, if you ever sell, that buy the number on the holder.

PSA is believable, but I think SGC counts against creasing and that card with a visible crease like that is a 3. Says so many slabbed cards and the grading scale. maybe a 3.5 now

Nice card, Id love my 3s to look like that. SGC normally seems to penalize for a crease, but it looks one sided, id label it a wrinkle, and overall a sharp card.
