I just noticed that this guy has been banned from the site. Can anyone shed any light as to why? I am trying to contact him regarding my purchase of this fraudulent card.

Thanks,
Gary

I just had this card checked by PSA at the National Convention in Cleveland this weekend and found it NOT to be authentic. So I understand where your coming from.

Just curious as to how many others have been duped by this guy? I am currently trying to contact him and if I don't get a response, I will pursue law enforcement. If there's others, please let me know so I can build up a stronger case on him.

Yeah...he frequents craigslist as well paying the crap. Check out Chicago and Oakland Craigslist. Also, I recommend you do some searches here for Jose Tijero and cardcollectorguru. That should get you everything you need.

69Cubsfan,

There is another thread talking about him....checkout "Beware:B/S/T cardcollectorguru(Jose Tijero). It is 13 pages long and an eye opener. I almost fell for the Mike Miley 1976 but I remembered reading something on this forum.

69cubsfan,

Also, checkout where us_caine lives...San Pablo, Ca. Look at where our friend Jose is from....if I remember correctly it was from Richmond or Oakland. Coincidence that it is the same area? Hard to fathom. I would love to be wrong, but my gut tells me to step away and not lose my money with this guy.

Someone should have Leon move this over to the autograph forum so more people will see it and avoid this bum.

Hey Tony,

It's already there and on the front page as well.

Guys, thanks for your info and feedback. Here is the current status. After I emailed the Ebay address that Paul gave to me, I received 3 emails from this guy claiming he isn't Jose nor does he know anything about Net54 and didn't have this transaction with me. After I responded back to him that if he WASNT Jose Tijero, that I would apologize for bothering him. Now comes the good part, He sent me 2 more emails saying that he just sent Jose a phone message to let him know of this issue. So I just responded to him that it would be in Jose's interest to resolve this matter otherwise I will persue mail fraud and legal ramifications ASAP.

If this is the same guy, I spoke with him as well. He's in California and said he purchased stuff regularly from "Jose" on Craigslist and sells it in his eBay store. Let me know if that sounds familiar...

James, Yes he says he is longtime friends with Jose and that Jose is a standup guy. They both buy and sell cards and that Jose often buys collections then breaks them up and sells them and that this guy sells for other people. He also said that he mainly deals with PSA,JSA and in-person signatures. I just found it odd that this guy told me he had no idea who or what I was talking about and then emails me to let me know that he is trying to get ahold of him and that their friends. He was also somewhat defending him saying that sometimes PSA flunks signatures while JSA will pass the same signature. I told him that Jose GUARANTEED this card to pass PSA and I took it to PSA and they flunked it. Why would I spend more money in hopes someone else would say it's good? PSA charged me $75 for checking out this card. But to answer your question, yes, I believe this is the same guy you are referring to. I just got back home and received another email from this guy saying that he will continue to try and get ahold of Jose.

You have to start to wonder when you buy a card for 20% of previous sales.

I find it funny that last night he had no clue about this Jose guy and now today he claims to be good friends with him. Sounds like he is leading you on. Good luck.

I also did a quick opinion for the one he has on ebay about 2 months ago..."likely not genuine"
