Default 1934 World Series Program Bidding getting nuts!!!

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1934-WORLD-S...-/271891300690

Anyone know why the interest in this one? I've seen many from that Series go, none close to this price though.

Any ideas?

Not sure why, I sold a couple of 1934 World Series programs at Detroit, nothing close to this price.

Someone might have an answer.

The Cardinals version of the 34 program is a tougher than the Tigers but not that MUCH. And the program is not that nice folded down the middle. Every page was photographed and I looked I did not notice any autographs. Guess somebody just had to have that one.
Happens..

Slight correction, "2" people had to have this one.

It always takes 2.

One of baseball's greatest seasons. Shocked to see the price so high, though.

Good for the seller.

I have had for many years this fascinating 1934 “Dizzy/Daffy” school project covering the 1934 World Series. It’s about a 150 page write up and scrapbook covering the ’34 series. The cover art is all hand drawn and quite spectacular for the hand of student. The first 25 pages are a typed account of the history of the WS, and then a detailed account of the 1934 Series, including detailed stats that go so far as covering the $ receipts of each game and shares. The remaining 100 or so pages are filled with articles and news clipping of the series.

The student got an “S+” for the assignment. Pretty impressive and you could tell this student was passionate on the subject. Given the quality and content I am guess it was a High School project – I wish I could have done that in HS.

Joe- That booklet is fantastic! I have met both of Daffy's sons Paul Jr. and Sandy.

We are adding a plaque to honor the Dean's and their visit contributions to baseball here in Hot Springs, AR on October 10. We have a Historic Baseball Trail of plaques and sings to salute Hot Springs as the birthplace of Spring Training (Cubs 1886.)

The Deans spent quite a bit of time here and Paul even owned a baseball school here as well as the minor league team for a short time.

I believe both will be present that day at the ceremony and later that day at our Documentary Film Festival a new film by four-time Emmy winner Larry Foley will debut entitled THE FIRST BOYS OF SPRING. Larry has spent the last three years working on the project. It is narrated by Billy Bob Thornton and the small pieces I have seen are excellent.

Lou Brock will also be here that day (Arkansas native) to help with the festivities!
