Default 1966 Marked Set

As I was in the process of upgrading my second low grade 1966 set with my better dupes, I noticed all of the 1966 cards that I was removing were marked. They were all marked by the same kid. This kid did his research. Notes like "Throws a Palmball", "Hit into a Triple Play". "Is a good fielder" as well as newer teams players were on (including minor league teams) were written on each of the cards.
I could not bear to sell these or throw them away. There is a good 300 or so cards that are marked and tell the history of the game through one kid's eyes.

So, I decided to work on a set that is all marked.
I will take any marked card, including those with moustaches drawn on or eye patches etc. I may, seek to upgrade the marking to a more intelligent marking at some point, but it might be what it takes to complete the set.

If you have marked cards from 1966, I am not going to pay a lot for them, but I will pay something for them. Right now, I am looking at paying for lots of 50 or more or you can just send me anything less than that. I am not wanting to pay more than 5 or 10 cents per card for a lot, but this may be a way to get rid of your marked cards. In the end, the set will be unique and will be a fun collection.

If you have marked cards from 1966, send me a pm and we can work out something.

I don’t know that I can help you out, but I absolutely love the idea.

That's what I was thinking. It would be a great set to look through when you are finished. A true time capsule of a "regular" collectors set of the period.
