Default 1996 Fleer Ultra Uncut sheets?

Has anyone ever seen one? I'm trying to determine if I have one-off printing errors (one sheet or across several?). I have at least 53 61 without the foil stamping of the name. You can see where the die came down, so it was attempted but they must have run out of the foil. All are different players, and the only one I was able to find referenced on the interweb is unique also. All cards are from Series 1. Not sure if it matters, but cards run from #13 to #213.

FWIW, I wish all cards looked like this, without all the crap.

The foil comes in a roll with a backing and is pressed on with a heated die.

If the roll doesn't move properly, you can get cards with partial foil.
If it doesn't move at all, the next sheet won't get foil.

What's interesting is that the other foil looks like it's there.
I wonder if they used multiple narrow strips? That would be a mess to set up, but cost less in the long run. That miss could have also been the roll running out, or being so misaligned that the die didn't touch it.

Thanks, Steve. Wasn't really sure how it is done. I guess that the lack of any foil in the name area supports the "2 roll" setup. I'm not sure how that would work with 132 dies cranking out at any speed. I would figure it would be one stamping action per sheet?

Should be one for the whole sheet.

I haven't seen a high production setup, so it's also possible they have a roller setup of some kind.
