Default ohiotarheelfan update

Upon learning about her account being cancelled on ebay, I decided to drop ohiotarheelfan a line (her actual name is Angela Mcguire, and her email address is angeladawnmcguire@hotmail.com.

I told her that I was bidding on one of her auctions, and that I could not bid anymore and wondered what was up with her account. She wrote back the following:

"What were you bidding on ? I will make you a good deal on it as I am not sure as to the status of the account. Let me know and we'll work it out."

I then sent her back a message saying I was bidding on a King Kelly. I did not say which one, but it appears she only has one version that she copies constantly. She wrote this back to me:

"What do you think is a fair price ? I sold another one similar to it for $400 previously ? Let me know and thanks again."

I then asked about the authenticity, and offered her double ($800) if she could get it sent off and graded and then sent to me. She wrote back the following:

"Thank you for the offer but I am liquidating a large collection and if I wanted to send them in I would have already done that. The card is very nice and appears to be authentic however I am not a card grader. You obviously know that if it were guaranteed authentic (graded) it would bring way more money than this ? I have to insist all sales are final in these transactions. I am still willing to sell it to you but it must be under those circumstances. Thanks and I will consider an offer on it ?"

I then proceeded to spill my guts and inform her of how screwed she is and how all of her customers are contacting lawyers and such (technically not a lie for I am sure many of them are).

Isn't this chick just a bundle of joy?

I am new to the board as I have already said but I have been reading about this seller on this site today. Honestly I am kind of amazed that everyone is so upset ? I mean I wouldn't have bid because the auctions said REPRINTS right on them ? Look:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=2738004575&indexURL=1&photoDisplayType=2

I mean I wouldn't have thought I could buy cards worth thousands of dollars for 1/10th of the price and them be real. Especially when they said reprints ?

If it really is a "she". I had a crooked ebayer that used so many alias that they couldn't remember which name to reply with and whether they were male or female.

Almost all of her auctions do not say that sweetguy. I think she is backpeddling in this one...maybe somebody was on to her. I would offer you some examples of her other auctions, but cannot find any...imagine that . They were all taken down. Here are some of her auctions on yahoo....she uses a different name there:

http://user.auctions.shopping.yahoo.com/user/thunderingherdkid

She will say stuff like "The card feels and appears very old and there is no paper loss on the back that is common to reprint cards however I am unsure ?"

She has been selling for years...and should know stuff like this. She is starting to change her tune now that people are finding her out, but she is still a deceptive crook.

I looked through some of his/her other auctions on yahoo and they say the same thing like "I cannot guarantee authenticity" or something like that. I still say that if you bid on those its your fault for thinking you are getting something for free kind of ? I mean I wouldn't even think of bidding if I wasn't sure ?

Wow that Cap Anson looks pretty good if its a fake ? Some of the others don't look original at all.

All of her stuff is fake, and she knows they are fake. She used to not say anything about authenticity. People don't read that anyway. If she is unsure of authenticity then she should not put it in the dates that she does. She knows what she is doing. She is being deceptive, and is lying as well.

Sweetguy,

I performed a source trace on your IP address and I noticed that you're from the same part of Ohio as "ohiotarheelfan." I also noticed your proclivity for placing a space before each question mark.

Care to explain these coincidences?

and as stated by another, many of the pic's are from the library of congress web site. maybe some of us should offer them ( to post ) slabbed cards of the ones on the web site so this is discouraged from continuing to happen.

That part about leaving a space before the question mark, exactly the same way ohiotarheelfan does, we may have to start calling you Sherlock

Run...hide your children...it is him, I mean her...er...him. Can't just be coincidence that Ohiotarheelfan and Sweetguy28 have the same internet drawl. My email from Ohiotarheelfan also had the signatory "_?_" that Sweetguy28 uses. And, besides, who else around here would be defending him, I mean her.

Anyone have an e-mail from her? Can see if it is the exact same IP address by checking the headers.

That's rather humerous, I must say. Preventing intertate forgery and fraud is 'nitpicking.' What would you call the prevention of murder or kidnaping? Being a budinski?

that we may have upset bigchiefmike next set of ebay auctions?

Interesting reaction when people are going out of their way to protect others. Guess bigchiefmike is the kind of chap that walks away when someone is calling for help.

And he is calling us Jerk offs. Have you looked in the mirror guy?

Just so some of the new readers don't get misinformed. The previous forum was shut down by it's owner voluntarily, as it became too much work and would have been too expensive to update, as it's architecture was outdated, among other reasons. NOTHING to do with the "calling out" of the purveyors of reprints. This forum commenced operations at the same time the previous forum was wound up.

bigchefmikey = ohiotarheelfan = shiloh33 = any number of other aliases that this moron goes by. If not, they are closely allied.......Buy a bunch of junk to get ratings up to 25-30. Then start perpetrating the fraud. This makes the Btuttle stuff of a couple years ago look like childs play. He/she/it is doing color copies of the cards, gluing back to back, aging when necessary/possible and then putting up for sale. The early wording left much less to the imagination. Much more mention of the word reprint. Now, little is said about reprint, only authenticity can't be for sure or something even LESS than that. The person is a shyster.....no better than your average bum check writer or wandering gypsys (no, not Gypsy Queens.....)
...........

(1) Fraudulent seller gets exposed by Network54 forum.

(2) Fraudulent seller's eBay auctions get shut down.

(3) Fraudulent seller becomes angry that he/she is unable to steal more money from unsuspecting buyers; comes to Network54 forum and attacks those who exposed him/her but ends up looking even more like a dunderhead; eventually comes to the realization that EVERYONE sees what a dishonest piece of $hit he/she really is.

Mike pulled out the heavy artillery and called our crook a "DUNDERHEAD", I believe the last person to be called that on this forum was my brother Jay. Lokk at the bad company you get put into when you are a crook.

Doesn't it just pain you? It takes a real idiot to try defending a criminal when they are exposed.

That's where you are going right down the toilet.

Thanks for contributing. There must be a forum for fraudulent sellers go find it.

Bye, Bye

that was really a pretty neat display. Bigchiefmike or whateverthe hell his name is seems to have a bigchief chip on his shoulder. Its OK. At some point, its possible that he'll come to and realize what's going on. Then he can be Bigchiefmikewithaclue. That's a better handle.

The only thing you need in order for evil to thrive is good people who do nothing.

We are good people doing something - naturally, the evil people don't like it. This is normal and has plenty of historic precedence, so no one should be surprised by the behavior of "ohiotarheel...", or the supportive reactions of "bigchiefmike" and "sweetguy".

Keep up the good work everyone
