How many of you Baseball HOF collectors out there collect players? managers? executives? pioneers? umpires? negro leaguers? broadcasters? journalists?

I'm really curious to see if anyone collects all those that I mentioned above.

Phil,

I collect "20th Century-Present Major League Hall of Famers". It is easier on my budget as I can exclude 19th century guys as well as the near impossible to find Negro Leaguers.

If they are in the HOF and have a card from their active period, I collect it...

I don't think I have any journalists or broadcasters but I collect all of the rest.

I collect all HOFers that have a career-contemporary card, except for Negro Leaguers, since their cards are so prohibitively rare and expensive. The only HOF broadcaster I know of who has cards is Jerry Coleman, and I do have most of his cards (since he's been with the Padres their entire ML existence).

About a year ago I started to assemble a collection of Hall of Famers (players only). I am trying to buy a card featuring each player and the card must be from the period they played in. For now I am only collecting players (excluding the guys who played in the Negro Leagues). I will probably expand the collection to managers, and if I can afford it, Negro League players.

With each card I get I do a bit of reading/stat research on the player. It is amazing how some of these guys ever got in the Hall (Jesse Haines, Candy Cummings, Travis Jackson, etc).

I collect them all except for the journalists and broadcasters who I don't really consider to be hall of famers. But there is a cool 68 Topps style Ernie Harwell that I wouldn't mind having.
