I bought one raw several years ago for about $80.00. It now sits in an SGC 80 holder. I am very glad to have acquired it prior to the escalation of price.

It just shows how adding a couple of buyers to a rare set can cause the prices to skyrocket.

Hey guys....
Regarding this card, I would like to add....that prior to getting this card GRADED, there was a lot of interest in it at my table in Cleveland.
Most thought it grades GOOD to VERY GOOD....on Friday SGC graded it with only a "Fair" grade and I, and others, considered it undergraded.

The back is a clean Red print on White cardboard example....I would provide a scan; however, our main computer is down due to a severe
lightning hit on our house (along with other electronic devices that were damaged). I'm using our laptop now.

That's the story guys....so far, I have several offers from members that saw the card at the show, prior to it being graded.

I'll let this "play" out for a day......then put it on ebay (if I haven't sold it).

I did not mean to call any particular person strange, Steve or anyone else--only collectors as a group. I'm sorry if that impression came across.

However, the idea that my comment could have interfered with anyone's decision is perfectly absurd. The card obviously is worth this kind of money in this market. As a collector Steve knows exactly what he is doing, and he must have had his reasons for withdrawing the offer.

Ted, I hope you get the price you're seeking for the card--
