Saving this thread full of "definitely way underpriced" to show my wife, who I convinced that this was an undiscovered Lou Gehrig card from an impossibly rare set, which got me leeway to bid it up to $2500 (this was at like $350 with a few hours to go as these things often are) but I didn't have the stones to take it further. A+ for collecting instincts though!

Though I post rarely here, I appreciate all of the knowledge and insight that this board provides! I would have posted here earlier on but I didn't want to spill the beans or have any of the aforementioned shenanigans occur to me! There were definitely a couple other bidders that caught what this was though, so I'm excited to read about the winner here (likely) or see it up at an auction house at some point soon after being graded (also likely, maybe more so)
