That’s some great stuff!
Very unique. I felt the same way, about managers being overlooked in favor of stars, hall of farmers, batting champions, etc. So I started focusing on collecting just the autographs of managers, and to this day have approx. 550…from current back to the 1890s. Just this week I added new hires Don Kelly and Warren Schaefer. I am missing about 40 names, those being from the period between 1900 and 1920. They are very scarce and either unavailable or pretty much unaffordable, but every once in a while I get lucky and am able to obtain one of the names on my Want List. |
