If you can get your hands on one that is reasonably priced (they are out of print), "A Complete Reference Guide Louisville Slugger Professional Player Bats" by Vince Malta is a terrific resource that will detail the history of H+B. Included in the back are the ordering records of many established players over the course of their careers, so you can get a sense of which models they preferred. Also, PSA/DNA website for bat authentication will show examples (with pictures) of many players preferred bat models and their use attributes if you're into that sort of thing. Good luck. |
