Have been on eBay for 30ish years now - Both as Bidder and Seller.
When I am buying I simply enter the total dollar amount that I am willing to pay for the card and if I win - FINE and if I lose - FINE. When I am selling I typically add the Buy It Now option in all of my auction items. Very rarely do I see anything that makes me want to "stay glued to the screen" in order to win.
