I am calling these as series 1 and 2 rack cases.
Reason - looking back, 3-box rack cases had the 981 code for years (6-box cases were 971), with the oldest I could ID being from 1967. In many of those years, boxes and packs carried different 3-digit code sections (mainly 034 and 991). I think that these are probably 1994 rack cases - who knows the boxes and packs were coded differently.
