You should work LONGER hours getting your quotes correct. The correct quote is: "Winning isn't everything. It's the only thing." And Lombardi didn't say it first. It was Red Sanders, the former football coach at UCLA. He said it as early as 1950. Lombardi, who may have heard it from Red, didn't use it (or any reasonable facsimile) until 1959 or so.


Didn't you learn how to research at that fancy Ivy League school?


Edited to add: Yes. Yes. I know. You will respond to my arrow with a nuclear (or is it "nucular") attack. You will drive my red neck, chicken fried steak eating, big game hunting, ass back into the Stone Age, etc., etc, etc. Blah, blah, blah.
