June 2012 Pick-Ups

While not a big rowing fan (one two month involvement in a team of eight was enough for me), I did pick up this 1923 album of photos of the Vancouver Rowing Club

Thanks Dan, Mark and Kevin. Glad you guys didn't bid or bid higher . I thought it would go much higher too. I've found some info on the Rosedale AOW and the # matches up and they were chartered in 1880. Surprisingly heavy piece to.

I picked up this 32x48" 1891 litho of The Garden City Billiard Table Company. It was a previously unknown image which was owned by one family for 70+ years. The Chicago based company was formed in 1880 and sold out to Brunswick in 1893. The piece is a little rough in spots but since it looks like it's a one of a kind I guess I can't complain. I can't wait to get it reframed and hang it in the pool room.

Ran across these in a Cubs photo collection and thought I'd post to see if anyone recognizes these proud Cubs fans? I have absolutely no idea when the photo was taken...

Gaga is right Mark....I'm blown away...WOW!!!!!!!!....Can we see some close ups? Is that an American Indian facing the table?...I'm stunned, congrats....What's the details?....How did you come across it? -Carlton
