I've read that many GM cards were lost in a Card Collector's Co. warehouse fire.
I've also read that the GM cards were only sold in and around NYC. Yet, I distinctly recall these cards available in a candy store in the western suburbs of Chicago, the summer of '71. I remember seeing a few in the shoebox of a fellow child collector. And I highly doubt they were bought through a mail order supplier, as all in my circle were casual collectors. Is it possible the GM's made there way into the Chicago market or is my mind playing tricks on me?
