The fun of it is, NO ONE KNOWS
 We can only theorize how they made it from the scrap pile to the public....adds to the mystic....... My logical theory is that these cards were either picked out of the trash by kids/adults at that time and "cut" up when they got them home...or that the printers them selves brought the sheets/cut up cards home for their kids to p;ay with... But if it were me being the printer, i would have chose these over the regular issues.... Btw Jamie, IM JEALOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  only kidding, i think i created a monster~!!!LOL you deserve those cards my son....(if not me and chris )peace johnny
