I had to euthanize my dog - Maxx after he had been with me for 16 1/2 years. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I bawled like a baby after it was over. It took me a couple of years to get to the point that I was ready to adopt another dog. That has helped some. But I still miss Maxx, and I guess I always will.

Brian, as an animal lover myself, I am truly sorry for your loss! It's amazing the bond that we can form with an animal. They really are just like one of the family.

Hi Brian-

Sorry to hear about this, it is very sad. Right now we have 2 cats, both are around 18 years old,,,we can see that they don't have too much longer to go. One of them literally sleeps most of the day & night (I call it "preservation mode"), and the other one "howls at ghosts"....it's like he sees things up towards the ceiling and starts howling at it.....very weird (and sad). I know I'll be pretty tore up when they're gone.

Sincerely, Clayton
