Shutting down pitchers???????
Do you think Nolan Ryan would have missed the 69 NCLS & Series? He won Game 3 of the NLCS --- so arguably the Mets wouldn't have been in the Series without him.

Last night was just like the 7th game of the 1925 World Series when Washington had a lead late in the game, only to lose the game by the same 9 - 7 score. I'm still totally bummed out today, and it doesn't help any that my UVA Cavaliers are getting beat right now by the UMD Terps!
