I was first underbidder.
Factory 42 is the only back that I'm missing that's actually possible for me. If the card had come up in the summer I'd have bid higher, but this time of year it's not possible. Even a crummy common would be fine, Although I may save up for a halfway decent one come summer. Steve B |

Nice eyes to all of you who spotted this one. I'm surprised the seller missed it in the description. Do you think it would've brought a lot more had he listed it noting the Factory 42 back?

I don't think so - it only takes two serious bidders. Compared to the nicer Sam Crawford that sold recently on ebay, I think this price is in line.

Hey Scott.
That's what I was thinking since it went for much more than a similar condition Joss would have had it had a common back. It obviously garnered the final bids due to the back. Thanks for confirming though. AndyH

Definitely an ugly card... but some will go after a Piedy42 in any condition. I thought it would take $200 to win...

This was the second unmentioned one I have seen in the last 4 months. I wanted it to be mine, I put it in for $127, and I was like other people must've seen it! So I'll just have to wait.

not me... but the real question is more about affordability than present-ability.

If the phrase "T206" is in the title, there are no secrets on ebay....

This one for $575 still sticks in my mind (not my card). Shouldn't it have brought quite a bit more? Based on current Goodwin prices it seems it should've.

i spotted the joss as soon as it was listed....as you guys know i love 42's, i was in on the bidding also, sorry waz
.....they are tuffer than thought of.....the joss was ugly, but in any cond a fact 42 is quite worth it, esp. hofer...if it were in the descrip, i think it wouldve hit $250.00 at least..i always wonder about piedy 42's and ab 460's at the same factory desig.. ....is there some correlation....both are tuf ass backs....chance was a 1 k card at least....2k in goodwin i beleive Last edited by mrvster; 11-13-2012 at 05:01 AM. |

I still need a P42...as I have always said, I think they are tougher than some give them credit for. And concerning the one in the original post, nice card. Not beautiful but still a nice hole-filler.
