Excellent work Wazoo! Sounds like it was a great interview. In trading PM's with you, I had no idea that you were 15. You have become very knowledgeable about the T206 nuances and conduct yourself very well on the board. I agree with the previous posts that you are the future of our hobby and I have to say that while I am extremely proud of my own two sons (ages 16 and 20), I do wish at times that they shared my passion for this hobby. Best wishes, Steve

I didn't realize you were that young either. Makes me wish I started collecting T206 at 15. Keep up the good work Waz!

Upon learning that you are 15 years old, my first thought was that if I had started collecting T206 at 15 (in 1971), I would probably own a half dozen Wagners and Planks. On further consideration, I would probably be slamming my head against a wall on a daily basis for selling those Wagners and Planks in 1978 to buy a used Firebird that ended up in the junkyard after a year. Hope you keep up your passion for collecting and pass it on.

Awesome job Waz. Keep up the good work man. As others have said you really do handle yourself well at your age. I wish I was buying t206 when I was 15. I still kick myself for not looking for them back then. I just always thought they were going to be too expensive so I never did.

Best,

AndyH

Wazoo- do you expect the article to be published in a local paper? If so, it would be great if you could post it for us to see. Keep up the good work!

It should be posted by now. I'm not sure. It was taken in a different state, but the man said he would send me a copy. I'll let you know. Thank you

I like how optimistic the title is. I've been to probably about 100 card shows, most when I was a kid because my dad would go to anything local(props to pops) and I was never interviewed once. Don't get down Wazoo if you end up without another interview in your lifetime about cards.

On a similar note, I just interviewed an Australian kid the Pirates signed a couple months back. He is 16 yrs old and he couldn't believe he was going to be the feature story on the site either tonight or tomorrow. I thought it was funny the third time he asked me if I'll send him the link when it was done

So I basically just got a first hand reaction of how Wazzy probably feels right now

That's too funny. I told Waz a while ago that whenever I see a Muggsy portrait T206 I always say, "hey it's Wazoo!".

Actually, if you sewed a big N.Y. on your sweater, you could pass for him!

Seriously, looks like alot of fun that your dad supports you and shares this with you! I'm jealous...

I was thinking the same thing, when I was 15 I was 5 foot 2 inches.

Nice article as well.

Nice post.
Only 15 years old and you have a grasp on the "old" stuff.GREAT! When I was 17 in 1978 I went to my first card show to start Playballs. (All 3 years. ) I was torn between buying 1978 Topps at 1 cent per card, or picking up 1939 cards at 25 cents per card . I finally completed my Playballs about 12 years later. I never looked to buy new stuff again. Finished the Playballs, 1934 Goudey, and 15 cards away fron Diamond Stars. Sure I still have my Topps from 1977 back to 1972. And 1961, 1955.
Best of luck to you. Great post.
Tom
