These were two pretty neat things I picked up at a garage sale this year for $1.00 each. They have been sold a few times since, Looks like these two baseballs made a lot of people happy this year

Is that the same one that sold in steiners auction earlier this month? Curious how many cards there are. I was gonna bid on it but they produced so many reprints wasn't going to take the chance.

No this is the Orioles lineup card, it came from Dave Trembley - Orioles Manager.

Default 2012 - a very good year

Great pick ups everyone!

I had a number of very nice pick ups this year, but my favorite piece of non autographed memorabilia is this photo from Gehrig's wake. It is not the most expensive, or most valuable item, I was able to get this year, but is absolutely the most moving.
As was discussed in a thread earlier this year, I think it is such a poignant picture, that truly expresses the special connection Gehrig had with kids and fans.

I hope everyone has a Great Christmas, New Year, Chanukah, and all the holidays celebrated this time of year I wish you all a very healthy and prosperous 2013.

Best,
Mark

It's always fun when your research pays off.

I purchased this 1890 scorecard at an antique show. It turns out to be from career victory #6 for the Cleveland rookie brought up to the majors just six weeks earlier - Cy Young.

Lance, many thanks for adding the pic of the 1924 Senators photo I acquired and for educating me so that I can do this myself in the future. I'm one of those old folks who isn't very skilled computerwise.

Scott, many thanks for the compliment.

Best wishes collectingwise and otherwise to all for 2013.
Val

Impressive Michael! I especially like the Clemens Cy Young award. Did he sell it?
