I have no photos, but this ball is from the 2nd-to-last game I pitched. I hadn't pitched in three years, but because of league 'rest' rules, no starter was available. I pitched a complete game, 3-hitter (lots of walks and errors) and the team presented me with this ball.

We all didn't play the year after they put us on three different teams and it seemed like someone was always playing whenever we tried to get together to play. I was an all-star twice, pitched all but one year...yet one team photo is all that ever existed. Some family I got!

Look, no pictures in 1954, when I was 13 years old. My Dad coached this team in the "Boondocks", all neighborhood kids. Handmade uniforms and bats and balls contributed by the local bar. I will post the original Jersey later.
Here is the scorebook and one of the games. Scanned the game where I had 2 hits, didn't happen that often. Maples, batting 2nd. Joe
