Great stuff, Derek. I tried to make a deal for the Teddy postcard first but it did not work out so my loss was your gain..............

It's hard for me to even say that my favs are Jeff's Crawford ready for the ball, Jim's Maranville Day and Bosox arriving, Brad's lefty grove - because they're all really interesting, tougher cards. Great thread.
Btw- Steve - who are the players with the auto? Here's a few of mine...... 1. The back tells us the picture was taken July 4th 1914 in Arnegard, North Dakota. Town founded in 1913. Population in the 2010 census, 115. 2. I never took the time to research this one. AZO and Undivided back. Maybe taken abroad on an Army base during WWI? 3/4. I think this is the only card in the Red Belt series that I have seen produced in a different way. (jimmy Collins sliding) 5. Hilltop Park. A Thaddeus Wilkerson card. A toughie. He took photos of NYC and privately produced into PC's. I live a couple miles away from where the Highlanders used to play and every so often take a walk around where the field was and reminisce. Hope you enjoy. Really great cards guys. Last edited by WillowGrove; 01-12-2013 at 04:21 PM. Reason: add info |

1914 view of Weeghman Park (now Wrigley Field), taken exactly 100 years ago today (4/23/14).
![]() And since I was at the 100th Anniversary game today, my attempt to recreate it.
