The description says, ".1900 Brooklyn Superbas National League Champions Photographic Composite. ...A fitting tribute to the team that earned the final National League flag of the 19th century.."
It is true that the Brooklyn club did win the final NL pennant of the 19thC in 1900. However the title on the piece says, "Champions 1900," which of course during this time period would indicate it is the 1899 team (also a pennant winner), not the 1900 team. The presence of John Anderson, Doc McJames, and Jim Hughes who were on the roster in 1899 but not in 1900 adds further support. Still, a nice item. Last edited by bmarlowe1; 02-16-2013 at 01:48 AM. |
