Just consigned my entire 522 (all but Big 4, plus 2 dupes) to Bill Goodwin for his April Auction

, which is the single biggest recycling event in Monster Number history I might add. It's not often that virtually everyone gets to move up a notch.

Hope the auction exceeds your expectations except on the lots I may be interested in.

Ed, are you finished with collecting or just moving to another set?

Default T206

Hey, good morning! @ Sean, no - not finished collecting, just felt like I "completed" T206 and then got into the "now what" stage. I put "completed" in quotes as I never planned on the Big 4, but felt a sense of accomplishment after I got to the threshold. I'll use the $$ from here to focus on other things. I have the E93 set complete minus just the Wagner at present. Have about 50 of the 1914 CJ's which is more a focus now as well as 50's and 60's Topps HOFs in grade 7 or better.

@ Frank - thanks, I hope you will bid! Highlights are the entire set is grade 4 or better with 50-60% 5's and 6's. Only three "3's" (Cobb Green, Demmit and O'Hara) - and nicer 3's (IMO) at that. Brooklyn Dahlen in a 60, Elberfeld Old Mill back in a 50, Walter Johnson port in 60, Matty port in a great looking 60 (centered), in fact - many of the HOF's and SL'ers are 5's. Mostly common back, but a few SOV 460, EPDG, Tolstoi, Cycle, Am Beauty, etc.

Bill is going to break up, may lot some of the 4's - thought it better that way than sell as a set. For me, then fun was research and collecting .. got bored when completed. Anyone else get that way..??

Congrats Ed, I hope you do well in the auction. I'm happy to have added quite a few of your T206's into my collection over the past years. Kind of bummed that you won't have any more singles for us poor folk It's always been great to deal with you.

Sincerely, Clayton

Frank, Ed has three 3s for sale, Cobb green, O'hara, and Demmitt. I will be disappointed if you don't pick up at least one of them.

Ed, yes, I felt the same way back in 2008 when I nearly completed the T206. I spent four years putting together a 1965 Topps set -all mint 9. I am still missing one card, Joe Nossek.

When I got close to finishing I returned to T206, and now I try for subsets like a back run or something else interesting.

Ed, I'm glad to see that you are just moving your collecting interest to other sets. I have a few of your cards in my set already and will definitely look at your upcoming listings. Good luck with the auction!

Default Thank you

Thank you all for the nice comments, it's been a pleasure dealing with everyone here on Net54 and expect that distinct pleasure will continue! So as not to manipulate Frank's post and bump any more with my set and the sale, I will start a post in the appropriate forum when the cards go in Bill Goodwin's next auction - anticipate mid-April, within the next couple weeks. Will be sold as a set-break, hopefully worthy of your interest and bids!

Thanks again for the kind feedback!

Ed
